October 22, 2024 - Tribute to Mehdi
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mehdi, a passionate young researcher and an exceptional human being. Mehdi was responsible for the molecular modeling aspects of the smoothE project.
Mehdi was an outstanding student with a deep intellectual curiosity, and working with him was always a pleasure. During the first two years of his PhD, he conducted remarkable research, which already led to two publications in leading international journals. He had also achieved several promising new results for optimizing nanofluidic osmotic transport.
Beyond his scientific talents, Mehdi was highly appreciated by the staff and fellow doctoral students at the lab. His extraordinary kindness and constant good cheer will forever remain in our memories. We will miss him deeply, and his legacy will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of sharing a part of his journey.
